Chateau Raceway season over; final shows rained out

LANSING, Minn. - Mother Nature delayed the start of the 2009 racing season at the Chateau Raceway and she ended it early as well.

Two days of rain left the track in such a state there was no way officials could get it pulled together for the two-night Buzz Festival this Friday and Saturday to wrap up the season.

And with more rain forecasted for the two days there was little chance of getting any kind of a break from the rain to try and put the shows on.

Track officials will now go to work on making plans for the 2010 season next spring.
