The first race of the new season is slated for May 1, and will feature four USRA-sanctioned divisions as part of the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series there.  Full Story November 18, 2008 Waits, Schmitt, Jones, McDaniel claim 2008 USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series titles In what may be a first in organized racing, three of the four drivers that captured the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series titles in 2007 repeated the feat in 2008. Brad Waits captured his second straight USRA Modified crown, while the same can be said for Tom Schmitt (USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars) and Matt Jones (USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods). Class champions and top points finishers in the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series will be recognized, as well as several special awards being doled out to drivers, team members and sponsors.  Full Story November 5, 2007 RL Promotions to operate Cresco, Oskaloosa again in 2008; Torch to be passed at Bloomfield, Memphis Officials from RL Promotions, LLC, have announced that the motorsports promotions and management company will continue to promote weekly racing and special events at both the Cresco Speedway and Southern Iowa Speedway in 2008.
