USRA Late Models debut moved to Memphis, three-race season finale created
United States Racing Association officials have announced that the previously scheduled season opener for the newly-created USRA Late Models has been changed. Originally slated for April 20 at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway, the $3,000-to-win inaugural event for the USRA Late Models will now be hosted at the Pepsi Scotland County Speedway on Saturday, April 28. read more
Bloomfield, Memphis season openers postponed
Officials from RL Promotions have announced that the previously scheduled April 6-7 season openers have been postponed. The season opener at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway will now be Friday, April 13, and the season opener at the Pepsi Scotland County Speedway will now be Saturday, April 14. read more
Officials up the ante, announce $3,000 top prize at USRA Late Model headline events
Officials from the United States Racing Association (USRA) have announced an increase in the winnerís share of the purse at headline events for the USRA Late Models during the 2007 season. In all there are 12 events that were formerly announced as $2,000-to-win shows will now carry a $3,000 top prize instead. read more

Wood wins Driver of the Year honors, earns three track titles and national crown
On Friday night, Jan. 5, RL Promotions honored the drivers from three tracks at the Hotel Ottumwa (Iowa) with a large crowd on hand for the awards celebration. Family, friends and sponsors were on hand to see Nathan Wood take home a truckload of hardware, including a special award from promoter Todd Staley who presented Wood with the first-ever RL Promotions Driver of the Year Award. read more

Ed Sheckler, 1940-2006
The staff, family, friends, racers and sponsors of the USMTS, USRA and RL Promotions wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ed Sheckler. Ed passed away at his home in Monmouth, Ill., early Tuesday morning from complications of liver cancer. read more
