Gregg Bakker out-dueled Mark Dobmeier into turn 1 from his outside front row starting position and led all 25 laps en route to his first USRA Outlaw Sprint Car feature win of the season Sunday night at the Huset’s Speedway.
Chad Meyer and Mark Dobmeier each picked up feature wins in USRA Outlaw Sprint Car competition Sunday night at Huset's Speedway. In USRA Championship Sprint Car action, it was Cody Hansen earning the feature win while Tommy Barber, Colter Deutsch and Shawn each recorded their second win of the year in USRA Next Generation Sprint Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks, respectfully.
Persistent rain, cold and all-around miserable weather has forced Huset’s Speedway officials to cancel the event for Sunday night, June 7. Racing will resume next Sunday, June 14, with all five classes in competition. That evening will also include the make-up feature from the rain-shortened event on May 31.

Casey Abass survived a crash-filled race in winning the 360 USRA Championship Sprint Car event while Troy Schruers, Jared Nytroe and Craig Hanisch each scored wins in USRA Next Generation Sprint Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks, respectfully.

In what may be a first in organized racing, three of the four drivers that captured the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series titles in 2007 repeated the feat in 2008. Brad Waits captured his second straight USRA Modified crown, while the same can be said for Tom Schmitt (USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars) and Matt Jones (USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods). Jason McDaniel (USRA Hobby Stocks) won his first title after finishing second last year.
On a special Saturday edition of racing action at Huset's Speedway, Mark Dobmeier put an exclamation point on his 2008 USRA Outlaw Sprint Car championship season by winning his ninth feature event of the year. Triha Underberg, Nick VanBelle and Denny Lottman wwere also winners.
