Bravado Wireless USRA Modified Fall Classic @ Tri-State Speedway Labor Day Weekend


This year's Bravado Wireless USRA Modified Fall Classic will be held Thursday, Aug. 31, through Saturday, Sept. 2 at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla. The event with feature payouts totaling more than $30,000, will feature two complete nights of racing for the USRA Modifieds, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Factory Stocks and Super Stocks on Friday and Saturday after an open practice session on Thursday. This event will be a full points show for all classes on both nights as well as the USRA classes earning regional and national points. The event will feature a $1,000-to-win, $200-to-start USRA Modified feature on Friday night and a $2,000-to-win, $300-to-start USRA Modified feature on Saturday night. The three supporting classes will also be competing for added money during the event. The entry fee is $175 for USRA Modifieds which includes two driver pit passes for Friday and Saturday. The entry fee for Out-Pace USRA B-Mods is $50. Pit passes will be $20 for practice on Thursday, $30 on Friday and $35 on Saturday. The entry fee for all classes covers both nights of the event, however all classes except USRA Modifieds must purchase a pit pass each night. The practice session on Thursday, Aug. 31, will be from 7-10 p.m. with the gates opening at 5. Grandstand admission will be free. Friday, Sept. 1, will feature a complete points show in all four participating classes. The race procedures for the USRA Modifieds each night will be to draw for heat race positions. Passing points will be used to determine feature placement with the top eight drivers locking into that night's "A" Feature. Drivers finishing in the ninth through 16th positions will start at the front of the "B" Feature and the remaining drivers will start in the "C" Feature. The top 12 finishers from the "C" Feature will advance to the back of the "B" Feature where the top 12 will join the back of the "A" Feature. Normal track procedures will be used for Out-Pace USRA B-Mods on both nights. Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. with $30 adult and $15 kid's (6-12) pit passes. Grandstands will open at 5 with $12 adult, $10 senior (65+) and $5 kids (6-12) tickets. Saturday, Sept. 2, will feature another complete points show in all four classes. The same race procedures as Friday night will be used. Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. with $35 adult and $15 kids (6-12) pit passes. The grandstands will open at 5 with $15 adult, $13 senior (65+) and $5 kids (6-12) tickets. The Tri-State Speedway is located 1.5 miles west of Fort Smith, Ark., on I-540 in Pocola, Okla., and is a big, wide, high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval. There are many hotels located close by in Fort Smith, along with the Choctaw Casino Hotel in Pocola. They may have special pricing in effect that weekend if you mention that you are a driver or fan attending the races at Tri-State Speedway.
