Sixty days until 2024 season goes green at HCS

We are only 60 days until the 2024 season kicks off at the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway on Saturday, April 6, with the annual Ice Breaker and Chili Cornhole Tournament.

Classes featured will include the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners competing in the Christie Door Company USRA Northern Region presented by MVT, plus Jerry Goebel State Farm Super Late Models.

The pits will open at 4 p.m., grandstands open at 5 and hot laps begin at 6:15 with racing to follow. Tickets will be available online at hamiltoncospeedway.com/tickets or you can purchase them at the gate when you arrive.

Registration for the Chili Cornhole Tournament will begin at 11:30 a.m.. The first toss will be at 12 noon. The format will be determined on the day of the event, based on the number of teams who register. Entry and payout details will be available soon.

Tickets available on StubWire: HCS is proud to partner with StubWire once again for online ticket sales. The ticket site will go live Feb. 12 and fans will be able to purchase advance tickets to some of the hottest events for the 2024 season, including advance discounted tickets for select events.

Fans will still have the opportunity to purchase grandstand punch passes, and remember you will have to present your punch pass to the ticket booth to redeem your ticket for the night. The same applies for sponsorship tickets. Unless it is for a specific event, all sponsorship voucher tickets must be presented to the ticket booth to redeem the ticket for that event.

Reserve pit stalls available: Reserve pit stalls for the 2024 season are now open for purchase. The cost to reserve a cement stall is $150. As with previous years, drivers who purchased a stall last season will have the first right to refusal. Any unpaid stalls that remain March 18 will be open for anyone to purchase.

Any unused cement stalls will be available to rent by night for a cost of $25. You will reserve the stall first-come, first-served when you check in. If you purchase a cement stall, you are allowed to mark your spot. We do not allow drivers to "save" cement stalls that are not being used.

If you have any questions about our online ticketing system, reserve pit stalls or anything else regarding the racetrack, call Sarah Ratcliff at (515) 832-6000 Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Opening in July 1910, the Hamilton County Speedway is the oldest speedway in the state of Iowa. In 1938, work began on the current location at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The Hamilton County Speedway is located off US 20 at exit 140, then 1.2 miles north, then 0.5 mile east on Bank St., then 0.4 mile south on Bluff St. to the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Webster City, Iowa. The physical address is 1200 Bluff St, Webster City, IA 50595.
