Jackpot Junction Series bound for Britt on June 8

VINTON, Iowa (May 29, 2001) - I.M.C.A. Sprint Cars running in the Jackpot Junction Tour are bound for Hancock County Speedway at Britt on June 8.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. for the Friday show, with 7 p.m. hot laps and racing at 7:30 p.m.

Hancock County Speedway has hosted a Jackpot Junction event every year since the series started in 1997. Terry Reilly of Watertown, S.D., prevailed in both the 1999 and the 2000 events.

Tony Hargrave of Maplewood, Minn., and Donovan Peterson of Brookings, S.D., were the winners when the series opened over the Memorial Day Weekend with races at the Arlington, Minn., Raceway and the Redwood Speedway in Redwood Falls, Minn.

Dave Heskin of Monticello, Minn., ran third in both events and has the early series points lead. Bob Hildreth of Iowa Falls is just one point back in second.
