Deer Creek Speedway season opener this Saturday

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. -- This Saturday, April 7, the thunder will return to the high banks of the Deer Creek Speedway for the first time in 2012, and if this year's practice session was any indication of what we're going to see then race fans are in for quite a show.

USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods and four other weekly divisions are scheduled to compete with the first green flag scheduled to fly at 5 p.m.

The pit gate will open at 1 p.m. and driver entry will begin at 1:30. Teams are urged to arrive early to ensure they allow for enough time to complete the required paperwork and any pre-race tech inspections that may occur.

Drivers are reminded that transponders and RACEceivers are mandatory for the event. Rental equipment and additional information will be available at the draw shack. Draw cut off is at 4:30 sharp and the driver or car must be present to draw - no exceptions. There will be a brief hot lap session for all classes starting at 4:30 followed by the driver's meeting which will be held at the scales.

1:00   Pit Gate Opens - $25 Pit Passes
1:30   Driver Entry Opens - Car or Driver must be present to draw, no exceptions.
3:00   Grandstands Open - Kids 12 and under are FREE - Adults are $15
4:30   Draw Cut Off: Draw-Redraw System for all classes.
4:30   Hot Laps: Green/White/Checkered for all classes.
4:45   Pit Meeting: Located at the scales, all drivers are asked to attend.
4:55   Call up first USRA B-Mod Heat
