LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The “King of America” and hometown favorite from Southern New Mexico Speedway, Stormy Scott once again showed he is a force to be reckoned with.

Starting secord row inside behind Fito Gallardo and El Paso’s Christy Georges, Scott made it through all 25 laps in Saturday night’s USRA Modified "A" Main to take the $1,000 pay and the 2nd Annual Cowboys for Cancer Research Benefit Night Trophy.

Another hometown favorite, Bumper Jones, came home in second, followed by Jay Rosales, Terry Tipton and Jake Gallardo.

It was a clean sweep for Scott as he won the third heat race earlier in the evening.

Scott was not alone in his sweep as Mike “The Man” Mike Rosales took heat race #1 in the newly-sanctioned USRA Stock Cars, and then led every lap of the main event driving his machine adorned with the names of loved ones who lost their fight with cancer.

Rosales was followed closely by rising star Travis Harrison, Miles Widmer, newcomer Chad Jones and Leland Harrison.
