Campbell in Lucas Oil Speedway victory lane


WHEATLAND, Mo. -- Bolivar Herald-Free Press Night at the Races featured the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds in action at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks for an awesome night of racing. The pit area was again packed for another Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Championship Series.

The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds have seen five different winners in five features this season at Lucas Oil Speedway. Jason Russell, again pulling double duty racing a ULMA Late Model and USRA Modified, started the feature from the pole. Josh Woody from Waynesville started second but faded early to fall out of the top 5.

Dustin Campbell from Nevada started third while Terry Kirk from Urbana and Tim Setzer of Archie started the 20-lap event in ninth and tenth. The two charged through the field to battle with Campbell, Russell and Rustin Miller of Houston for position.

Near the mid-point, Campbell moved into the lead and went on to victory lane. Russell finished second, Kirk took third, Setzer finished fourth and Miller completed the top 5. Eddie Bray Jr. of Archie was the Hard Charger after starting 22nd and finishing ninth.

The 20th Annual Show-Me 100 presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will kick off on Thursday night, May 24, with a test & tune session from 6-9 p.m. On Friday, May 25, the action will heat up with qualifying for the Show-Me 100 featuring the best dirt Late Model drivers in the country. The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds will also be in action running for $750 to win presented by RacinDirt.com. Tickets Friday are just $20 for adult general admission, $15 for seniors age 62 and up, $10 for youth ages 6-15 and free for kids 5 and under. A ticket includes free admission to the pre- and post-race concert by Candy Coburn. Pit passes are $35.
