WHEATLAND, Mo. -- The 20th Annual DART Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com got underway on Friday Night with preliminary racing action for the USRA Modifieds. With temperatures hovering around 90 degrees, the racing action on the track was even hotter.

The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds ran a complete show on Friday night. A field of 51 USRA Modifieds went head to head for $750 to win presented by www.RacinDirt.com.

Jason Hughes from Westville, Okla., started the 20-lap feature out front and held the the position to take the win over Jeff Cutshaw from Cross Timbers.

Cutshaw challenged for the lead after a late-race caution but was unable to make the pass.

Hughes, currently second in the USMTS National Championship Series points standings, chose to run Friday night as a test for the upcoming USMTS Hunt for the Casey's Cup Race at the Lucas Oil Speedway on Aug. 11.

Brian Williams, Steve Picou and Terry Schultz finished third through fifth. respectively.
