Bone wires USRA Modifieds at Lucas Oil Speedway

WHEATLAND, Mo. -- The Ozarks Food Harvest Food Drive at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday Night collected approximately 10,000 pounds of non-pershiable food items! The KTTS Night at the Races plus the crowning of the Casey's Mid-Season Points Champions drew a large crowd for a spectacular night of racing. Fans donated food items in exchange for admission into the event.

Defending American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series National Champion, Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., took the checkers in the Pitts Homes USRA Modified class.

The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds lined up for 20 laps with Jason Russell of Henley on the pole and Bone outside. Bone passed Russell on lap 4 and continued out front for the remainder of the feature for the win.

John Allen from Chanute, Kan., started the feature on the inside of row 3 and grabbed a second-place finish.

Chase Jones from Eldorado Springs finished third, followed by Russell. Matt Dotson from Clark was fifth. Terry Schultz from Sedalia finished sixth but was able to secure the Casey's General Stores Mid-Season Points title. Schultz currently sits second in the USRA national points standings.
