Springfield Raceway back in action Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- On Saturday night, Sept. 29, action fires up again at the Springfield Raceway featuring a mechanics race and ladies powder puff on the racing card. Joplin's Wolfman House of Screams will be sponsoring the events this night.

Action will feature the USRA Modifieds racing for USRA national points, B-Mods (Springfield Raceway rules), Midwest Modz, Young Lions Legends and area Pure Stocks.

This will be an open draw for heat races with passing points to determine the feature line-ups. Payout will be regular Springfield Raceway payout for all classes.

Racing will begin at 6 p.m. with hot laps starting around 5. Pit passes will be $25. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults with kids ages 6-12 are only $5 and children under 6 are free. The front gates open at 4:30. while the pit gate will open at 3 p.m. Drivers draw cutoff is slated for 5:15 with drivers meeting at 4:30.
