WHEATLAND, Mo. -- Four drivers were named 2012 Lucas Oil Speedway track champions, a title coveted by each. Jeremy Kelly, Jason Russell, Marc Carter and Kris Jackson will be honored at the Lucas Oil Speedway champions banquet and awards presentation on Saturday, Nov. 3. The Top 10 drivers in overall championship points will also receive special recognition, points fund money, contingencies and other awards.

Jason Russell from Henley pulled double-duty all season long at Lucas Oil Speedway. Russell raced both a Late Model and in the Pitts Homes USRA Modified class. Russell had a stellar year in both cars, finishing second in the Late Models and claiming the top honors in his USRA Modified.

"Thank you to my car owners, Harold and Gail Strange. A special thanks to all of my family, crew and fans who came every week to support me. It was an exciting first year racing here. It was definitely a learning process but it was fun," said Russell, who drives a GRT prepared by Terry Phillips Racing.

The 2012 Lucas Oil Speedway championship banquet and awards presentation is open to fans, drivers and crews. Tickets are $20 at the door. Tables of 8 may be reserved in advance for $140. The banquet will be held at Citizen's Memorial Hospital in the Community Room, located in Bolivar. Door's open at 5:30 p.m, social hour is from 6-7 and the invocation is at 7 with dinner to follow.
