MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The 71 Racing Team has announced a fund-raising event for the American Cancer Society will take place on May 17 at the North Central Arkansas Speedway in Flippin, Ark. The goal for the event is to raise over $3,000 for the American Cancer Society to use in its efforts to find a cure for cancer and increase awareness of the causes of cancer.

Some the activities scheduled for this event include a $1,000-to-win USRA Modified race, raffle of prizes donated by local merchants and rides in a two-seater dirt late model around the speedway. A highlight of the evening will be a victory lap walk around the speedway for cancer survivors, caregivers and their supporters at intermission. All racecars will be on display around the speedway.

If you are interested in supporting this event through donations or sponsorship, please contact Jason Snodgrass of the 71 Racing Team at 870-421-7171, Leonard West of North Central Arkansas Speedway at 870-449-5277 or sponsorship coordinator Scott Ramos at 870-404-5695.
