FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. -- Friday night, June 28, one of the longest continuously running local racing promotions will once again hit the track in Fountain City, Wis., with “Winona Radio/Bud Night” ... a yearly racing event since the late 1980s, will once again welcome race fans to Mississippi Thunder Speedway with prizes and fun!

In addition to the prizes, ‘Fan Appreciation’ night plans to pack the grandstands with $5 admission for ALL spectators while children 12 and under will be admitted absolutely free!

The last evening of racing presented a nearly full house with non-stop battles which raged right down to the end of the evening’s features to determine the night’s winners.

2010 track champion Josh Angst rolled into Victory Lane and moved to the top of the point standings in the River City Manufacturing USRA Modifieds by sneaking past race leader Dan Bohr with a late race pass when Bohr got caught up on lapped traffic.

Race fans should return this week to enjoy more on-track action, and to partake of the prizes while celebrating Winona Radio/Bud Night at Mississippi Thunder Speedway.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with action by the Sunshine Sanitation Mini-Mods on “The Lightning Speedway” starting at 6. The first green flag on the big 1/3-mile flies at 7 with competition in all regular weekly divisions: River City Manufacturing USRA Modifieds, Black Horse Bar & Grill USRA B-Mods, Coordinated Business Systems Super Stocks, Jailhouse Saloon Street Stocks, Redbox+ 600 Mods and Elmer’s Auto Salvage Pure Stocks.

Mississippi Thunder Speedway is located 3.0 miles north of Fountain City on Wisconsin Highway 35. For more information, call 608-687-3282 or visit www.mississippithunder.com on the World Wide Web.
