Deer Creek Speedway action halted by rain

SPRING VALLEY, Monn. -- Thursday night's racing action at Deer Creek Speedway was halted before the evening started due to the rainfall in the local area. The fifth annual Featherlite/USMTS show will now be run under the following schedule.

Friday night - As originally scheduled. Featherlite/United States Modifieds racing for $4,000 to win. WISSOTA Street Stocks - Complete show. WISSOTA Super Stock's and WISSOTA Midwest Modified heat races.

Saturday - We will start at 10:30 in the morning with the race program scheduled for Thursday night. $2,000 to win Featherlite/USMTS show. $700 to win USMTS Stock Cars and $500 to win USMTS Hobby Stocks.

Saturday evenings program will get underway at 6:00 pm with the big $10,000 to win Featherlite/USMTS show along with the "B" Mains and Feature events for the WISSOTA Super Stocks and Midwest Modifieds.

This show will be a record showing for the United Modified Touring Series as there were 120 Featherlite/USMTS cars in the pit area along with numerous others in the parking lot awaiting the program decision.
