MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa—The Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods kicks off the month of June with a five-night fandango that starts in Central Iowa and ends in the Southeastern corner of South Dakota.

Making it even more vacation day worthy for speed-hungry fans, all five shows will also see the high-powered USMTS Modifieds sharing the spotlight with the Iron Man aces.

The first night happens at the Marshalltown Speedway in Marshalltown, Iowa, on Tuesday, June 3, for a triple-threat treat at Toby Kruse’s high-banked quarter-mile dirt oval at the Central Iowa Fairgrounds with USRA Stock Cars battling for $750 to win and $600 going to the winner of the USRA B-Mod main event.

Pits open at 4:00, grandstands open at 5:00 and hot laps begin at 7:00 with racing to follow. Adult grandstand tickets are $17, kids ages 6-12 are $5 and children 5 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $35.

The Marshalltown Speedway is located 1.5 miles east of SR 14 on US 30 to Exit 186, then 2.0 miles north (1308 E. Olive St., Marshalltown, IA 50158). For more information call (515) 432-4703 or (641) 752-9676 or visit online.

On Wednesday, June 4, action moves two hours north to the Hancock County Speedway in Britt, Iowa, where USRA Stock Car drivers will be running for $750 to win on the semi-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval while USRA B-Mods have the night off.

Gates open at 5:30 with hot laps at 7:00 and racing to follow. Adult grandstand tickets are $17, kids ages 6-12 are $5 and children 5 and under get in for free.

On Thursday, June 5, both classes are back at it again about an hour-and-a-half northwest at the Fairmont Raceway in Fairmont, Minn. USRA Stock Car feature winner will take home a $750 paycheck for the third straight night while USRA B-Mods will race for a $500 top prize and an increased payout throughout the main event field.

Hot laps are slated for 7:00 with racing to follow.

The Fairmont Raceway is a high-banked 1/2-mile dirt oval located 1.0 mile south of I-90 (exit 99) on CR 39 (1300 N. Bixby Rd., Fairmont, MN 56031). For more information call (507) 382-4531 or (507) 382-4531 or visit online.

Head west and a little bit south on Friday, June 6, and you’ll find both divisions dishing up the dirt again with the USMTS Modifieds at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, for the track’s 2014 season opener with $750 and $600 to win, respectively, for the USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods.

This will be the first race for new promoter Dereck Van Der Brink, so this is a perfect opportunity for fans and drivers to come out and support a fellow racer who is investing his time and money to keep the lights on at this historic track.

Gates open at 5:00 with hot laps at 7:00 and the first green flag at 7:30. Adult grandstand tickets are $17, kids ages 6-12 are $5 and children 5 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $35. USRA Hobby Stocks and Rapid Speedway’s Sportsman division round out the five-class card.

The Rapid Speedway is a semi-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval located 0.5 mile east of US 75 on SR 9, then 0.5 mile south on South Tama St. (400 S. Tama St., Rock Rapids, IA 51246). For more information call (712) 470-1850 or (712) 472-3742 or visit online.

The final night of next week's swing will be for the USRA B-Mods at the I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D., with a $600 top prize up for grabs while USRA Stock Car drivers have the night off from Iron Man competition.

While USRA B-Mods compete every Saturday night along with USRA Hobby Stocks at the high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval, this will be the first Iron Man show at the facility and the first for the USMTS Modifieds too.

Hot laps begin at 6:30 and racing commences at 7:00.

Less than an hour east from Rock Rapids, the I-90 Speedway is located 12 miles west of Sioux Falls on I-90 to exit 387, then 0.1 mile north, then 2.5 miles west on SR 38 (46052 S Dakota 38, Hartford, SD 57033). For more information call (605) 691-3503 or (605) 528-6379 or visit online.

That's four USRA Stock Car shows with a combined $3,000 to win and four USRA B-Mod shows with a combined $2,300 to win.
