100+ cars fill pits for I-35 Speedway practice

WINSTON, Mo.—With the temperatures rising and spring quickly approaching, it means only one thing for race fans everywhere: race season is upon us at I-35 Speedway.

With a smooth-as-always racing surface, over 100 cars took to the 3/8-mile dirt to knock off any winter rust, and many new faces registered to compete this year along with the always-fast familiar faces of previous seasons.

With many improvements over the winter months, I-35 Speedway proves to be a top-tier track of the Midwest.

Track champions from last year demonstrated why they rose to the top and beginners searched for that perfect set-up to challenge this year for that title.

We appreciate everyone’s patience to get onto the track and look forward to seeing them in the upcoming weeks while calling I-35 Speedway home.

Hope to see everyone next Sunday, March 22, as the USMTS invades I-35 Speedway to tame the fast smooth track. Hot laps start at 5:30 with racing at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $18 or $5 for kids ages 6-12. Children ages 5 and under get in for free.
