CRESCO, Iowa—Following the third Holley Iron Man Series event at the Cresco Speedway in 2015, the end result is three trips to victory lane for the Norwegians with attitudes straight outta Decorah—Dan and Mitch Hovden.

In the 20-lap USRA Stock Car main event, Mitch Hovden rolled of eighth on the grid but took just seven laps to take the lead from polesitter Lynn Panos before speeding to a three-second win at the finish line.

The win was worth $750 to the defending series champ and current USRA Stock Car national points leader.

Panos held off 14th-starting Pete Solum for the runner-up honors, with two more Decorah drivers—Danny Sacquitne and Dillon Anderson—claiming fourth and fifth, respectively.

Despite suffering mechanical woes for the second straight event, Tom Schmitt remains the USRA Stock Car points leader over Steve Jackson, Kyle Falck, Hovden and Todd Staley.

Dan Hovden started sixth in the 15-lap USRA B-Mod feature race and grabbed the lead for good on lap 6 for his third consecutive $600 triumph at the 4/10-mile Howard County Fairgrounds clay oval.

Series points leader Dakota Foster claimed the runner-up paycheck ahead of former USRA B-Mod National Champion Brandon Hare, early leader Ben Moudry and Parker Kessel.

In the USRA B-Mod standings, Foster holds a significant advantage over second-place Jared Timmerman with current USRA B-Mod national points leader Andy Bryant third, Cole Denner fourth and Dustin Kruse in the fifth position.

The next Holley Iron Man Series events for both classes will take place at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn.

USRA Stock Cars will share the spotlight with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Saturday, Sept. 19. The following week, the USRA B-Mods take part in the action all three nights of the 17th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Thursday-Saturday, Sept.24-26.
