WARRENSBURG, Mo.—The 2015 season at Central Missouri Speedway officially came to a close Saturday evening as the track honored its division champions and top-performing drivers in the USRA Modified, B-Mod, Street Stock and Pure Stock divisions during the annual championship banquet.

This year’s championship banquet was an unprecedented event with both CMS and Lakeside Speedway joining together for a combined night of camaraderie and celebration while recognizing the achievements of each of the track’s drivers with over 260 attendees on hand!

Terry Schultz captured his third-straight USRA Modified championship at the speedway on the heels of five victories.

In 15 appearances, Schultz posted 11 top-five finishes; Schultz also finished second in the USRA Weekly Racing Series national points championship.

Tim Karrick captured three main event wins to finish second in the standings just ahead of Gunner Martin of Blue Springs.

Rounding out the top 10 were Lewis Jackson, Nick Pence, Jim Moody, Aaron Marrant, Danny Scrogham, Dalton Kirk and Richard Layne.

Brian Johnson of Independence was recognized as Most Improved Driver for the USRA Modified division.

During the banquet, drivers received an update on some of the upgrades being made at the facility for the 2016 season, which will feature an all-new backstretch concessions stand and new fencing around the track and a remodeled version of the official’s pit-side tower. In addition, the outbuildings will receive a fresh coat of new paint in an effort to spruce up the grounds. These are the upgrades that will take place for 2016.

It was also announced during the banquet that owners and promoters Earl and Susan Walls have committed additional bonus options to Modified drivers participating in the 2016 annual holiday special events. If a driver wins two of the three specials held over the Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day weekends, they will collect an extra $2,500 for their efforts on top of the posted first-place money. If one lucky driver sweeps all three of the big-money holiday specials, they will take home an additional $5,000 for their achievement!
