Thunderhill races on this Saturday

MAYETTA, Kan. -- The Thundersprints will headline the evenings events at Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, KS will this Saturday, May 20. This growing class has dazzled fans in their first three appearances this season, with a full field of cars checking in each and every night.

The 'Sprints will be joined by Superstocks, USRA Stock Cars, USRA Hobby Stocks and Pony Stocks.

Chad Meinholdt has won two of the three events in the Thundersprint division this season using a combination of daring moves and patience.

Twins Leif and Eric Weyer hold the top spots in the USRA Stock Car point standings, although neither of them has been able to claim a victory.

Travis Tenpenny holds the points lead in the Superstock class, although he is also waiting to see victory lane in a class that has seen three different winners in three races.

The USRA Hobby Stocks saw a host of disqualifications last week, helping to move Tim Patch into the point lead, even though he has yet to claim a win in five races.

Marty Grist and Brad Hill have split wins this season in the Pony Stocks, and Grist holds the point lead by a slim margin.

Thunderhill Speedway is located 14 miles north of Topeka on Hwy. 75 and two miles west on 142nd Rd. Gates open at 5 PM, with hot laps at 7, and races starting at 7:30.

General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children 7-13, and ages 6 and under are admitted free with a paid adult.
