Badlands Motor Speedway adds Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods for 2017

BRANDON, S.D.—Badlands Motor Speedway announced today its 2017 racing schedule and total payout amounts. The famed 3/8-mile oval will continue to race on Saturday and Sunday nights in 2017.

Saturday nights will feature three classes of sprint cars battling for $40,000 in prize money—the highest paying sprint car program in the country.

Sunday nights will feature all bodied cars with the addition of two USRA classes. A total of four classes will compete on Sunday night with the return of the Late Model Street Stocks and USRA Hobby Stocks. BMS will also add the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and Holley USRA Stock Cars for 2017. These four classes of cars will be competing for $20,000 in prize money each Sunday night.

The season will open again with the $100,000 Silver Shootout on May 13 where all drivers will be paid in silver bars. Depending upon the price of silver, the payouts could increase greatly before May.

BMS will also feature two one-day body car specials on June 4 and Aug. 5. Details on those two specialty events will be announced at a later date.

Breakdowns of the 2017 purse structure will be announced at the end-of-season banquet at Badlands Pawn Gold & Jewelry at 1600 Russell St. in Sioux Falls on Saturday, Jan. 14.

General admission prices will remain the same with no increases for 2017. Saturday’s tickets will remain $20 in advance and Sunday’s tickets will remain $10 in advance.
