Embarking on their sixth season of racing in 2017, the Atchison County Raceway in Atchison, Kan., will feature Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods as part of the weekly Saturday night program at “The Cage.”

Drivers competing at the fast, high-banked 1/5-mile dirt oval will earn track, regional and national points in the Summit Racing USRA Weekly Racing Series.

The Atchison County Raceway will be a part of the CP-Carrillo Mid-Central Region

Both classes competed during the Iron Man Challenge event last year, but will become a regular fixture at the popular speedplant for the first time this season.

E-Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compacts and Kidz Modz will round out the six-division Saturday night card.

The track will host a pair of open practices on Saturday, April 15 and April 22, with a USMTS mega-show thrown in between on Thursday, April 20 before the season-opening event on Saturday, April 29.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 and racing at 8 p.m.

Promoter Phil Birkinsha’s Atchison County Raceway is located at 10548 Sedgewick Rd. in Atchison, Kan. To get there, just go two miles north of Atchison on Sedgewick Rd. (past 302nd St.).
