The Central Missouri Speedway roars back to life this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21, for another record-setting event.

Out-Pace USRA B-Mod drivers have a rare opportunity to earn late-season Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points as they will be racing both Friday and Saturday. Each night’s main event pays $500 to the winner and at least $50 to start the main event. Drivers will compete in a full program of heat races and main events each night as part of the night’s action.

CMS is proud to announce the outstanding list of event partners for this event, which includes Northside Feed and Supply, Gator Graphics, Logan Contractors Supply, Inc., Rick Darling Performance Heads & Engines, Chad Eickleberry Concrete & Construction, Combs Docks and Floats, LLC, Blue Springs Truck Line, K&R Heating and Cooling, the Official Lodging Partner Comfort Inn Warrensburg Station, Michael's Lawn & Landscaping, Warrensburg Cliff Harris Ford, L&L Pest Control, B&D Transmission, Monty Mitchell Lawn Care & Landscaping, The Cross-Eyed Cricket, Gecco Graphics Worldwide and our newest partner, The Muffler Shoppe Auto Service & Sales. Thank you to these outstanding businesses for their support.

All pit passes are $35. Each day, pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands at 4:30, driver pill draw closes at 5:45 (late drivers will not be awarded passing points, call the track report line on race day at (660) 747-2166 if something prevents you from arriving on time). The pit meeting takes place at 6 p.m., hot laps roll out at 6:30, and racing begins at 7.

Those drivers finishing in the top 10 in each of the regular season car classes are reminded that this Sunday, Oct. 22, is the final day to reserve your spot for the upcoming championship banquet. For tickets, call Susan Walls at (816) 229-1338.

If weather becomes a factor for this weekend's event, CMS promoters Earl and Susan Walls have assured staff that the race will be ran as planned. Since everyone will already be in place and/or will have already made plans to be in attendance, the option exists to move up start times on Saturday if weather is obviously going to move in and affect the program. If this does not become an option, the event will finish on Sunday in time enough to get people home at a respectable hour. One way or another, this event will be finished this coming weekend. Stay tuned to www.centralmissourispeedway.net and CMS on Facebook for announcements.
