Springfield Raceway gears up for season opener April 18

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The quick quarter-mile dirt oval of the Springfield Raceway is gearing up for the opening race of the 2009 season on April 18.

Racing action feature USRA Modifieds, Bombers, Sport Mods and Legends Cars with a special appearance by the Show-Me Racin' Series.

Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 4. Hot laps will start at 5:15 with racing to start at a special 6 p.m. starting time.
