$5,000- or $50,000-to-win Front Row Challenge scheduled for August 7

PLEASANT HILL, IA (June 24, 2000) — McTwo Promotions has announced that the Front Row Challenge Sprint Car race will be held Monday August 7, 2000 at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa with a purse featuring $5,000 or $50,000 to win.

1999's event saw Jac Haudenschild win $50,000 after accepting the promotor's "Front Row Challenge." Scheduled to start the event from the pole position and a shot at $5,000, Haudenschild elected to start last in the 24-car field for a chance at $50,000 if he could win from there.

The exciting event in 1999 had the standing-room-only crowd on it's feet cheering Haudenschild's advances to a $50,000 payday, and was described by many as one of the best races that they had ever witnessed.

With the need for more spectator viewing areas, promotors Terry McCarl and Bill McCroskey have made arrangements to move all pit activitites to the outside of the speedway, and will allow reasonable sized vehicles to park in the infield of the half mile clay track for viewing the events tailgate style at a low price of $15 per person. Grandstand general admission remains at $20, with gates opening at 5 PM.

In addition to the always exciting Front Row Challenge program of qualifying heats, consolations, and main event, McTwo Promotions is also proud to announce that MUSCO Lighting, the leader in event and facility lighting with headquarters in Oskaloosa, has signed on as the sponsor of the $1,000 to win "Fastest Sprint Car Driver In The World" foot race. This crowd pleasing event will feature any A main qualified driver in a 100 yard dash foot race with $1,000 being awarded the winner.

Prize giveaways and the always popular frisbee toss are just a few of the activities in store for fans at the Front Row Challenge in 2000, and there are sure to be a few surprises added as well.

Due to overwhelming requests on race day in the past, a new policy is in effect for this year's event. Media credential requests for working members of the press are being accepted on publication letterhead only until August 1, 2000 via FAX at 515-264-0020.
