The Southern Iowa Speedway kicks off 2003 with the NMRA Spring Challenge

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (Dec. 22, 2002) - Race fans now have another opportunity to see the impressive winged 410 Sprint Cars mix it up around the super fast half mile in Oskaloosa. The Southern Iowa Speedway will drop the green flag on the 2003 season on April 12 with the NMRA 410 Sprint Cars. The $3,000 to win $300.00 to start event will also make host a non points race for the Sander Engineering Non-Wing 305 class. This will be a non points event for the 305's, but will give fans a chance to see what's new in 2003.The Non-Wing 305 class is a new addition to the weekly Wednesday night IMCA program, that will begin on Memorial Day.

With racing getting under way one week later at the Knoxville Raceway, McTwo Promotions took advantage of the open weekend to host the South Dakota based organization. This will be a chance for fans to come out and see their favorite stars in action. Drivers like Jaime Moyle, Skip Jackson, Don Droud Jr. and Justin Henderson are expected to compete. 360 competitors are urged to attend the special event as there will be a bonus for the highest finishing 360 in the feature.
