SPRING VALLEY, Minn. - Wednesday night at the Deer Creek Speedway, Ryan York and Mike Sorensen paced the field for the USRA RHS Modified feature with Sorensen taking the lead early on.

Jason Krohn worked into second on lap 2 as the only caution of the event flew. On the restart, Sorensen led with Steve Wetzstein working past York for third.

York, Lucas Schott and Zack VanderBeek were three-wide for fourth on the next lap. Bob Timm worked past VanderBeek on the next lap and then moved past Wetzstein for third on lap 8.

Behind him, Tim Donlinger moved into fourth, and on lap 13 Donlinger moved into third while Sorensen fought off Krohn to sit out front in the lead.

Timm worked back around Donlinger for a lap as the two swapped lines and positions, but Donlinger regained third on lap 18 and then started moving forward.

With 20 laps down, Donlinger started to run down the front two cars and worked past Krohn on the 23rd lap while VanderBeek worked past Timm again for fourth.

Donlinger came up a couple of laps short of putting pressure on Sorensen as the checkers flew. Sorensen picked up the $1,000 winner's check along with the $1,000 NAPA bonus. Also, a new chain saw was presented to him by Miner's Outdoor & Rec for winning the feature.
