Huset's Speedway Sertoma/Championship make-up added to USRA Nationals weekend

BRANDON, S.D. - Huset’s Speedway is pleased to announce that the championship event for the 2010 season is now scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 19.

Mother Nature forced the postponement of the 18th Annual Sertoma Charity Race when late afternoon rain swamped the speedway grounds on Sept. 6.

The new date will allow teams traveling in for the USRA Nationals event to be held on Sept. 18 to stay for an extra event.

The Sept. 19 Sertoma Charity race will serve as the season championship and be the event when Outlaw Sprint Car drivers square off for the chance of a $5,000 bonus from Baete-Forseth. Champions will also be crowned that day in the Championship Sprint Car and USRA Sprint Car divisions, as well as the USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods.

Races will start at 5 p.m.

Contact Sertoma Charities in Sioux Falls for money-saving advance ticket options.

On Saturday, Sept. 18, Huset’s Speedway will host the USRA Nationals.

The blockbuster event will feature exciting sprint car racing with the JSTS Sprints invading the high banks for a massive payday of $2,500 to win and $250 to start.

The big event will also feature handsome paydays for the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and and USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars.

Each of those divisions will run for a payout of $500 to win and $100 to start.

Ther is no USRA license required, but national points in the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series will be awarded to licensed USRA competitors.

Hornets (all FWD types) will also be racing for $200 to win.

There are no registration fees.

Pit passes are $30.
