Zevenbergen, Gulbrandson and Ahlers Notch Victories at Rapid Speedway Friday Night

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa (May 15, 2026) — The Tri-State Late Models invaded Rapid Speedway on Friday night, and a strong field of USRA competitors helped deliver a full night of racing action for the fans.

A total of 20 Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars, 19 PEM Racing Gears & Drivetrain USRA B-Mods and 19 QuickCar Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks checked in for competition.

The USRA Hobby Stocks were first to hit the speedway, where Dustin Gulbrandson charged from the sixth starting spot to capture the feature win. Landon Krohn finished second, followed by Tyler Schlumbohm, Evan Schettler and Josh Froseth.

In USRA B-Mod action, Brayden Ahlers made it back-to-back wins in his No. 20x. Brock Hess crossed the line second, while Kaeden Bronner rallied from 15th to finish third. Duke Erickson and Dave Kennedy rounded out the top five.

The night wrapped up with the ground-pounding USRA Stock Cars. Elijah Zevenbergen started on the pole and drove to victory, holding off Jackson Mulder, Justin Luinenburg, Cadyn Wessels and Colby Klaassen.
