Jones Holds Off Holthaus for QuickCar USRA Hobby Stock Win at Fayette County Speedway

WEST UNION, Iowa (May 21, 2026) —The QuickCar Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks joined the United States Modified Touring Series and Pro Late Models for Thursday night’s War in West Union at Fayette County Speedway.

Thirteen USRA Hobby Stocks checked in and delivered a strong show for the fans on a brisk night. Gavin Bartel started the A-Main from the pole and paced the field for the first seven laps before contact with the wall opened the door for Max Jones.

Jones inherited the lead, but he had his hands full with Devin Holthaus applying heavy pressure to his rear bumper. Jones stayed strong out front and held on to pick up the feature win.

Holthaus finished second, while Scott Spilde charged from eighth to third. Daryl Moss crossed the line fourth, and Adam Speicher rounded out the top five.

Fayette County Speedway will take Friday night off following Thursday’s special event. Racing returns Friday, May 29, as the track continues its weekly racing season.

Fans can follow Fayette County Speedway on Facebook or online at www.racefayettecountyspeedway.net.
