Campbell, Cadwallader, Schultz and Brown score Mike Franks Memorial wins at US 36 Raceway
OSBORN, Mo. (May 8, 2026) — A packed pit area and an electric atmosphere highlighted the Mike Franks Memorial on Friday night at the US 36 Raceway as 101 race teams charged through the back gate for an exciting night of competition featuring multiple USRA-sanctioned divisions.
Fans were treated to intense racing throughout the evening as drivers battled for memorial event victories in front of a strong crowd at the high-banked Missouri oval.
The opening feature of the night belonged to the QuickCar Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks, where Landon Brown charged from the fifth starting position to capture his first-ever Hobby Stock feature victory. Brown held off a hard-charging Aaron Wilhoit, who advanced from seventh to finish runner-up. Ben Berwanger stormed from 11th to finish third, while Eddy Noll crossed the stripe fourth and Emily Turner rounded out the top five.
The Bryke Racing USRA B-Mods delivered one of the most competitive races of the evening. Terry Schultz worked his way forward from the fourth starting position to secure the feature win. Stephen Clancy put together an impressive drive from 10th to second at the finish. Jeff Eddy claimed third, Wes Bestgen finished fourth, and Jimmy Downs powered from 13th to complete the top five.
The Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars were next to hit the speedway, and Tyler Cadwallader capitalized from the outside front row starting spot to earn the victory in another action-packed main event. Mark Dotson followed in second, Slade Sedgwick finished third, Doug Keller crossed the line fourth, and Matthew Lance advanced from 14th to score a solid fifth-place finish.
Capping off the evening were the Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modifieds, where Cole Campbell led the way from the pole position to collect the Mike Franks Memorial victory. Campbell was heavily pressured throughout the feature by Henry Chambers, who settled for second. Tim Eaton earned a podium finish in third, Steven Glenn finished fourth, and Isaac Dotson completed the top five.
With 101 cars filling the pit area and competitive racing across every division, the Mike Franks Memorial once again proved to be one of the standout events of the season at US 36 Raceway.
