Leathem Goes Back-to-Back, Romero Charges to Victory at Legacy Speedway

GRANTS, NM. (May 9, 2026) - Legacy Speedway hosted Mom’s Night Out at the Races on Saturday night in Grants, New Mexico, with the USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods putting on the show.

The Wilwood Racing USRA Stock Cars were first to set the stage, and Ronnie Leathem Jr. made it two wins in a row, parking it in victory lane from the pole position. Rick Boelter finished second, followed by Herman Garcia, Brandon Ward and Robert Lewis rounding out the top five.

In the Dirt Gangster Apparel USRA B-Mods, Mel Romero charged from the eighth starting spot to pick up the win. Isiah Mendoza came home second, while Aiden Frazier advanced from ninth to finish third. Kimry Ward was fourth, and Scott Morlang completed the top five.
