Foss, Gjere, Dais, Goepel rack up wins at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway
FOUNTAIN CITY, Wisconsin (April 24, 2026) - The Mississippi Speedway opened up the season with 88 participants in the pit area on Friday night 5 divisions.
The first A-Main to take the track was the KSE Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock division. Kolby Goepel snagged the win from the front row outside as he was followed by Dakota Koenig who finished 2nd. Gavin Bartel out of Kasson, Minnesota finished 3rd, Travis Krause 4th, and Dan Svee finished 5th.
Up next was the Bryke Racing USRA B-Mod division. Harley Dais jumped into Ryan Olson's Rage B-Mod and picked up the win from the 4th position. Jake Smith finished 2nd, Ben Moudry 3rd, Mason Stockhausen was 4th, and Jayme Hiller picked up the 5th place finish.
The FK Rod Ends USRA Stock Cars were next on the docket as a familiar face saw victory lane for the first time in 2026. Brayden Gjere claimed gold from the 2nd starting position. Levi Sand was the runner-up, with Jason Schlangen finishing 3rd, Caden Neisius was 4th, and Brady Williamson 5th.
The final class to hit the 1/3 mile was the Mel Hambelton USRA Modifieds. Keith Foss was the winner from the pole position and was being chased down by Jacob Bleess who finished 2nd. Nick Murgic finished 3rd along with Michaeul Truscott finishing fourth. Landon Volkman would go on to round out the Top-5 on Night #1.
