Hughes, Findley, Ledford and Martinez strike first at Tri-State Speedway opener
POCOLA, Oklahoma (May 2, 2026) - A great crowd and strong car count rolled through the gates Saturday night as Tri-State Speedway kicked off its season opener with four USRA divisions in action.
The Sunoco Race Fuels USRA Factory Stocks were first to make laps in their 15-lap A-Main, where Drake Findley cashed in with the victory. Wesley Bourne finished second, Dallas Bourland third, Kenneth Reynolds fourth and Hunter Mundy completed the top five.
In Bryke Racing USRA B-Mod action, Jaxon Ledford and Cody King traded blows throughout the main event before Ledford came out on top. Ty Evans finished second, Racen Stacy third, Kyle Ledford charged from 19th to fourth, and Martin Hemphill rounded out the top five.
The Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars followed with a 20-lap feature, where Andrew Martinez led the way from the pole position to score the win. Brandon Hunter was second, Marshall Penson third, Doug Martinez fourth and Tyler Honeywell fifth.
The Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modifieds closed out the night with Trevor Hughes wheeling his No. 712 Hughes Racing Chassis to victory lane from the outside of the front row. Devin Barker made a hard charge from 21st to finish second, Jacob Campbell was third, Roy Long fourth and Brent Holman fifth.
