The Legacy Speedway Season Opener Opens with Victories for Leathem and Morlang
GRANTS, New Mexico (April 25, 2026) - Legacy Speedway kicked off the 2026 season in Grants, New Mexico, with the Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars and Gorsuch Performance Solutions USRA B-Mods putting on a strong opening-night show.
In the Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars, Ronnie Leathem Jr. charged from the eighth starting spot to capture the Night 1 victory. Ken Curts finished second, followed by Jose Morales in third, Carl Morlang fourth and Zachary Gallegos fifth.
In the Gorsuch Performance Solutions USRA B-Mods, Scott Morlang struck gold with the win. Morlang was pressured throughout the 20-lap A-Main by Isiah Mendoza, who finished second. Herman Garcia advanced from eighth to third, while Jake Darby finished fourth and Dylan Williams completed the top five.
