Sharpensteen, Kaup and Reyes shine at Route 66 Motor Speedway

AMARILLO, Texas (April 25, 2026) - Route 66 Motor Speedway fired off night two of the season Saturday with a strong three-division USRA program featuring 18 Afco Racing USRA Modifieds, 25 CPT Racing MFG USRA Limited Mods and 10 Mesilla Valley Transportation USRA Tuners.

In Afco Racing USRA Modified action, AJ Sharpensteen charged from the sixth starting spot to claim the victory. Brayden Kongdara finished second, while Sammy McNabb rallied from 11th to third. Braden Howell crossed the line fourth, with Logan Cabbell completing the top five.

The CPT Racing MFG USRA Limited Mods saw Jeffrey Kaup take command on lap 20 and drive the No. 92 to victory from the fifth starting position. Last week’s winner Ryan Reeves finished second after starting sixth, followed by Callan Hill, JP Vasquez Jr. and Scott Groen.

In Mesilla Valley Transportation USRA Tuner competition, Rayden Reyes raced from sixth to victory lane in the 12-lap feature. Jeffrey Thompson finished second, Michael Latham was third, Billy Nalley came home fourth and Riley Littlejohn rounded out the top five.
