Cain, Jobin Charge From Deep to Victory Lane at Vado Speedway Park
VADO, NM. (May 9, 2026) - Great turnout, strong fields, and plenty of passing highlighted Saturday night at Vado Speedway Park in Vado, New Mexico, as 23 Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modifieds and 18 Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars checked in for action.
The Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars were first on the docket, where 2024 Stock Car Champion Josh Cain charged from the 13th starting spot to pick up the victory. Jonathan Burton also came from deep in the field, finishing second from 16th. Mingo Jauregui crossed the line third, Loren East was fourth from eighth, and Rob Moseley rounded out the top five after starting 10th.
The Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modifieds followed with another impressive drive through the field. Devon Jobin got the job done from the 12th starting position to claim the win. John Neal Reid finished second, Lance Mari came home third from ninth, Lucas Ward was fourth, and Carlos Ahumada Jr. stormed from 23rd to finish fifth.
Up next at Vado Speedway Park is Armed Forces Day on May 16, featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA Modifieds, Hulsey Racing Legends, S.H. Automotive Pure Stocks, and Desert Series 360 Wing Sprint Cars.
